Bayonetta Demo Early Access
Last week Sega had open sign up for Sega Pass members to get early access to a demo for Bayonetta. It reminds me a lot of Devil May Cry, but with a lot less clothing. I got me redemption code for the Bayonetta First Climax (yes, that is what it is named) demo today. It was harder than I expected but also much better looking as well. I've got my first impressions posted here for anyone who did not get the demo today.
Made a quick gameplay video if you’re interested.
All it is is a quick game of the Mortal Kombat TV Game by Jakks Pacific to test my ATI TV Wonder 600’s video capturing capability. But maybe eventually I’ll be able to do video reviews once I get the grasp of how to add running commentary and whatnot to the videos. Who knows.
Assassins Creed II Sale
Assassins Creed II does not even release for another week, but already you can get the game for $50.99. Sounds like Ubisoft is a little worried people are not going to buy it. Coming out just a week after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would probably be some cause for concern. If that makes for cheaper game purchases that is fine with me. I hope more games release at lower prices instead of pushing back their release dates.
Not only can you get the game for $51, but if you pre-order it on Amazon you get an additional $10 credit that applies to any future gaming purchase. Just be sure to use coupon code AMZNACII during checkout to receive $5 off your Assassin's Creed II Pre-order bring the price down to $50.99.

Another Batman: Arkham Asylum Review
Everyone on my friends list has been raving about Batman: Arkham Asylem. So, I finally got around to playing it. Dhalamar previously gave the game an 8/10, but I don't think that is high enough so I wrote my own review. I don't generally give games a score but if 8 is not high enough I guess I have to this time. I think Batman: Arkham Asylem is a solid 9 with Game of the Year potential.
Game Review - Batman : Arkham Asylum
I have been waiting for a good Batman game for what seems like forever. Back in the day, the game for Batman Forever almost seemed like it would fit that bill ... but the Mortal Kombat engine doesn't lend itself to making a good side scrolling beat 'em up. The original Batman game for the NES and Batman Returns for the NES were pretty good, but they were also pretty typical. Most of the rest have either been rehashes of the same thing or complete garbage. And no, I never did play Batman Begins. Here we are in 2009 and we finally have a great Batman game.
Bad Dudes for the NES
Bad Dudes is not a videogame. It’s a documentary. About the eighties. And it was filmed in real time. And they need to bring this documentary to Xbox Live Arcade.
Ultimate Bruce Lee - Another C64 Bruce Lee remake
It plays identically to the previous Bruce Lee remake I put up here, but adds a whole bunch more, not the least of which are different styles in graphics. It's quite a bit heftier than the previous one ... standing in at 28MB decompressed, but it plays great and has great replayability due to the unlockables the game has to to offer. Right off the bat you are presented with 3 different graphical styles.
Vigilante Arcade Remake
Given the fact that I love the recent unofficial Kung Fu sequel adding this particular remake was a no brainer. This game was released in 1988 and is sort of a spiritual sequel to the original Kung Fu Masters arcade game (simply called Kung Fu on the NES) with better graphics, better sound and faster gameplay. And this remake manages to keep all that while fixing a few of the bugs, keeping some in because a lot of the time bugs in these old games are interesting and adding weapons (the original only had one).
Bruce Lee - Windows remake of the C64 game
A great pixel for pixel remake of the Commodore 64 version. Which is great for me, because when I found this remake back when it first came out, I'd never played the C64 version (my house was unfortunately a PC only house at the time these were popular). Tight, responsive controls, great graphics when you consider the time frame of the game, great platforming, great fighting.Devious little traps that you don't see until the last second after you've died. Those two enemies that hound you screen after screen put up a hell of a good fight considering the game and the era as well.
Street Fighter for DOS
When the original Street Fighter hit in the arcades, it was met with more of a whimper because you only had 2 playable characters and the game wasn't that good. Player one was Ryu, and player 2 was Ken. The fighting sucked, the moves were hard to pull off and ... yeah ... Street Fighter got off to a rocky start. The PC version was released upon the world in 1988 ... and is an unholy abomination against everything that's good. And I played it CONSTANTLY when I was a kid. Not because I liked it, because I got so pissed of at it for being so horrible I was bound and determined to beat it so I could burn the disk.
