Power Drift for DOS

1063660651-00

The arcade version of Power Drift was one of the most technically advanced games of 1988. Then they ported it to the home consoles, NONE of which had the power to even do HALF of what the arcade was capable of. And the PC running DOS was one of them.

NONE of what made the arcade version so much fun is in the DOS version. The arcade is balls to the wall, the characters had lots of personality, it was almost like a roller coaster ride with awesome sprite scaling.

THIS is Power Drift.

THIS is Power Drift.

This is generic racing game with blue car.

This is "Generic Racing Game with Blue Car".

I rest my case with the screenshot comparison I provide. The DOS version of this game, as well as every other version is pathetic and shouldn't have even been attempted. They turned an awesome arcade racer into a boring bullshit nothing that isn't even any good on it's own merits.

I'm not even going to rate this one because there isn't a number low enough.
