Updated the “Contact” page a little bit.
I generally try to answer all the emails I get so long as they have nothing to do with money going to Nigeria or Viagra or something.
But if you want me to review your game, just bear in mind if it’s a card game I won’t be able to do a very good job because I haven’t the slightest idea how to play card games other than Magic : The Gathering. You’re looking at the guy who barely even knows how to play Solitaire. ;)
I should tell you how I tend to do reviews, I don’t do the “slam, bam, done” method of doing things (unless of course the game calls for it like an old school style game). I try to make my reviews as thorough as I possibly can, so I’ll admit. I do tend to take my time to really get a feel for the game. And I am very hard on games, I put the Indie Games up against their commercial counterparts because it’s only fair. I also understand that a lot of Indie Games don’t have huge development studios with hundreds of people working on them and I try to balance it out. Yes, I will point out every flaw I see. But I will also try to point out every bit of good that I see, and a lot of the time the good outweighs the bad. And if you’re wanting me to review some sort of adventure game, platformer or RPG … a walkthrough for the inevitability of my getting stuck would be greatly appreciated. :)
Not a lot of people who review the Indie Games off of Xbox Live give them the same treatment in a review that they would give a commercial game. I try to the best of my ability to give them that treatment because I think they deserve it.
That’s my take on it anyway. :)
And I’m constantly looking for good writers, people to do little stuff like post news on Indie Games for the 360 (or whatever else) … hell, maybe even reviews that show the personal thoughts of whoever is writing it, so long as it’s well written. Because it’s honestly kind of hard to do this all by my lonesome. :) If you’re interested in doing something like that, by all means, shoot me an email with some examples and whatnot. I don’t have that much in the way of rules and whatnot. If you email me about it, I’ll tell you what they are.
