This is being billed as a retro parody RPG for the indie games section. Now, my knowledge of RPGs is extremely limited, but I can definitely see some of the original Dragon Warrior in here (partly because that’s the only one in the entire series I’ve played to completion. And that was 20 years ago). NaviFairy from Gay Gamer agreed with that, and also said that he sees some Beath of Fire (should’ve figured that one out myself from the title), Chrono Trigger and Castlevania : Symphony of the Night.
Here’s the press release :

And back to your favorite blogger, Dhalamar. Here are some screens for you to gawk at in the meantime.
Now, I’m personally kind of looking forward to this judging purely from the video and the screenshots because I’m a sucker for that retro look. We’ll just have to wait and see come April. :)
Been running through the Dojo part of it where it tells you how to do commands and things of that nature. And so far from what I’ve played, the time that they put into the touch controls really shows because this thing controls like a dream. It’s really surprised me on how well it plays. Which is pretty damn important for a fighting game.
There’s a little bit of a learning curve to it because it seems to default to the medium attacks then you choose different directions to do fierce attack and light attacks and the like. But I’ve been pulling off special moves like they’re nothing. Including those fucked up "down forward, down forward + attack" super moves.
This game, I did a first impression of it recently … probably 20 minutes or so after I snagged it because I was so excited about it. Obviously that isn’t enough time to do a full out review. But I’ve had a hell of a lot more time with it and I’m comfortable now with it. Though I’m going to reiterate a lot of what I said in that initial impression, because unfortunately there just isn’t whole hell of a lot TO the game. But definitely read on.
This isn’t exactly a racing game, it’s a driving game. And what I mean by driving game, I mean that’s literally all you do is drive. In fact, in some small respects the game plays itself. Though don’t expect to just fire it up, set the controller down and do any good. It, in my opinion, has roots in the original Sega game Outrun from 1988 where you’re just going against the clock and avoiding traffic, Need for Speed : Underground and Burnout : Revenge.
And for it’s limited playability, it’s a HELL of a lot of fun.
I originally tried posting this on Geek Gamer Radio for Valentine’s Day … unfortunately Chase thought the post was a little too “racy” or something along those lines and it never made it to the site.
Then I thought “to hell with it, I’ll put it on mine. There’s all kinds of racy stuff on mine.” so here it is.
The pictures COULD be considered not safe for work or some of that nonsense, it just depends on your definition of that term. I’ll make you hit a jump anyway.
I could definitely see the 4chan kids going nuts over this thing though.
There are very few women out there that can get away with wearing something that cuts THAT deep, and Ashley is definitely one of them. And Mary-Kate is looking a hell of a lot better than the last time I saw a picture of her. I just wish stuff like this would turn up more often since I’m in the confines of Southern Illinois and I never bother to actually do things like watch television.
But that’s what the internet is good for, isn’t it? So one doesn’t have to waste time with the TV?
But yeah, in the end I honestly wish more pictures like this would surface, it would make my day go by a little better.
And I would definitely have more things that are of actual interest to me personally to update this little corner of the web with other than gaming stuff.
I’m going to be completely honest with you here and admit I didn’t even know this show existed until recently. And judging from these shots, I’m not missing much.
The ONLY shows I’ve EVER seen Lucy Lawless in were Hercules and Xena : Warrior Princess. Had she done stuff like this back then, it definitely would have perked my interest. Even though we all know that Gabrielle was the hot one of the bunch in Xena.
Regardless of that, this for the people who actually care. The thumbnails are safe, but the images themselves aren’t. So use common sense. Read more…
I was definitely excited for this was when I first saw it on the marketplace, because there aren’t really any fighting games on there. Yeah, there are Final Fight style beat’em ups … some better than others … but there aren’t any traditional 2 on 2 Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat style fighters on there. Which really makes me wonder WHY, but whatever. That’s what I originally thought this was gonna be, because let’s face it. Who doesn’t want to beat the crap out of these pointless, retarded looking avatars Microsoft forces upon us. Then I played the game … Read more…
Alright, I’ll be perfectly honest here. I’m not that big of a fan of racing games on the Xbox Live Indie Games. They are either crap, run off the same engine every single time (nothing wrong with it, just it gives everything the same basic feeling.) and, with a few exceptions they don’t have any multiplayer of ANY kind, local or otherwise. And unfortunately, in that regard, this game is no different. I downloaded the trial figuring this : “I know I’m going to hate this. I haven’t done an Xbox Indie Game thing on my site in a while, this oughta be fun to just rip apart at the seams.” And you can KIND OF consider this a review … but given the fact I haven’t spent much time with it I personally wouldn’t consider this a full review given the fact I haven’t really delved into it much.
This game is from the same guys who brought us Little Racer and Wool. Neither of which I’m a huge fan of. Wool I don’t quite understand, though I really like the graphical style … and Little Racers … I have a bit of a bias against overhead racers with cars anyway. Not to say it isn’t done fairly well, because it is, it’s just not my kind of game. Read more…
Here are some pictures of Elizabeth Hurley at some event … “The Naked Heart Foundation” hosted something called the Love Ball.
Alright, I’ll admit that I’ve never heard of this. In the picture to the left, she’s covering up with the event program because what she’s wearing is completely see through. Now, I’m not one to argue about these things, but you really think she would have noticed that. I mean, it’s not just a little see through or anything, it’s COMPLETELY translucent. Regardless of all that, here’s the pictures. The thumbnails are safe for work, but if you click on them that’s your own problem.
Wasted Seconds is exactly what the name implies. Ranging from game and movie reviews, celebrity gossip and going back in time to simpler times with computers. Just a mishmash of whatever catches the writers' interest.
